April 1, 2018

Worthy Chapter President and brother Ted,

Vivat Jesus!
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you, and all my brother Knights
from the Nassau Chapter, on the successful conclusion of your Annual Charity Drive.
The Nassau Chapter, since its inception, has been a Charitable force for so many
projects in Nassau County. Your Chapter truly exemplifies the first principle of order,
and truly shows everyone the true meaning of being a Knight of Columbus. We must
always remember that our works always show who we are and what we do. So, I
commend you, and all my Brother Knights of the Nassau Chapter, for living the credo,
“In Service to One, In Service to All.”

I also would like to congratulate this year’s honorees. To the two men, and sister
Columbiette, that have been chosen, it is with the deepest gratitude that I commend
you on this occasion. It is always a good thing that people are recognized for their
accomplishments. So, thank you on behalf of the State Council for all the great works
of the Nassau Chapter Knight of the Year, Brother Brian Ennis. Also, a big thank you,
and sincere congratulations to the Inaugural Columbiette of the Year.

To the Robert Hartman Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Brother Robert Wahl, I
would like to personally thank you for your hard work and dedication in procuring
the funds to obtain the Ultra Sound Machine that was placed in Suffolk County. It was
through your determination that this project came to fruition.

So again. Congratulations to all the recipients, and congratulations to the Nassau
Chapter on this wonderful occasion.

Fraternally yours,

Kenneth F. Latham, Jr.
NY State Deputy
